How to Prepare Your Application Materials
Follow these 4 simple steps. We'll walk you through finding your Nice Class, filling out every field, and submitting your materials.
Find Your Nice Classification
Every trademark in China must be registered under specific "classes" of goods or services, defined by the international Nice Classification system. Before filling the Information Sheet, identify the class(es) and subclass(es) that match your products or services.
Tip: Most businesses need 1–3 classes. If you sell a physical product AND offer related services, you may need multiple classes.
How to Fill Each Field
The Information Sheet has 11 fields grouped into 2 sections. Here's exactly what goes in each.

Logo Description
A short description of your logo's visual elements. Example: "A blue circle with the word 'TAYKIE' in white modern font."
Tip: If your trademark is text-only (no graphics), just write the text characters and upload a JPG file for this text name.

Type of business offered by this logo
Describe what products or services this logo represents, AND list your Nice Classes identified in Step 1.
Example: Class 25: T-shirts, hoodies, dresses. Class 35: Online retail services for clothing.

Trademark Owner's Information
Company or Individual Name
The exact legal name as it appears on your business license or your passport.
If you have an official Chinese name, please paste it in the cell. CNIPA requests a Chinese name translation for either individual or corporate applicant.

Business License # or ID #
For companies: your business certificate number; For individuals: passport number. Chinese company should use unified social credit code. Chinese citizen should use ID number.
This must match your official document EXACTLY. Any mismatch will delay your application.

Contact Information
Country
Country of registration. For overseas applicants, use the country where your business is incorporated.

Telephone
Telephone number
Office phone with country code. Example: +1-415-555-0100

Address
Personal address or Corporate registered address
Full registered business address. For overseas applicants: include street, city, state/province, postal code, country (in English). For corporate applicant, This must match your business official file EXACTLY.

Website (Optional)
Your company website if any. Helps strengthen your application.

Primary contact email for all official notifications about your application.

Contact person
Name of the person we can reach during the application process.

Mobile phone
Direct mobile of the contact person, with country code.

Signature
Sign at the bottom of the form. For companies, use the authorized signatory's signature, such as Director or manager, plus your company seal if available. This must match your passport signature EXACTLY.

Once you've completed the Information Sheet, head to the Materials page to upload it along with your supporting documents (business license, passport, etc.)
